on and rode.  When they came to a really steep hill, Margot said, "Whoa, how do I do this?" Steve said, "How would you do it in your car??!?!"  So she did!

Her fears had held her back for so long, but at 48, Margot started living her dream, riding her own bike.  She reports that the Softail Motor Trike corners beautifully, and notes that on tight twisties that you do have to really steer it.  She feels comfortable at 70 mph on the highway, no problem.  Roadkill gives her a little pause, as she figures
she is going to hit it with one of the three wheels but tries to miss it the best she can. Pulling into a gas station, she says you have to watch the back end and not try to pull up too tight to the pump.  She has to remember this since when riding the trike, the view out the front is-a bike.  For all you know you are on two wheels, unless you crane your neck and look behind.

Margot also notes that as a bike salesperson she feels that now she has more credibility with the customer since she does own and ride her own Harley, and can speak from personal experience.  Now she feels she really is living her dream, riding her own bike and working with motorcycles too.

Margot cannot talk enough about the day that Bonnie rode in.  Which made me ask, how did Bonnie come to the idea of triking?  Well, she too had fears and concerns about riding the street on two wheels, it was just too much trepidation for her to overcome.  For the past five years she had ridden as passenger behind her husband on his Heritage Softail and Screamin' Eagle UltraGlide.  She, like Margot, had ridden bikes as a teenager-to be specific, Hondas and a Yamaha Virago.

At 5'5" and 120 pounds and now an adult, she wanted to experience the front seat but, she was more cautious now, and at her size she felt that a bigger bike was too much for her.  However she had heard of trike conversions, and with this idea in mind, began the
research that would result in the acquisition of her own Softail Deluxe trike, and later count Margot as a convert.

Bonnie's assessment of the ride:  No worries on corners of rear wheels coming off the ground, a very stable solid ride.  The air ride suspension lets her add or release air for fine tuning the ride depending on the load.  She has complete confidence and rides everywhere.  She enjoys the ride without the fears that she previously had concerning two wheels.

Bonnie finds that wherever she goes, "the reaction is hilarious-it's a real crowd pleaser.  People rush to look at the trike, and women especially express a lot of interest, saying this like 'Wow, I could do this (vs. a two-wheel bike)!'  And you know, they could, as these two ladies know very well---two for the road, and counting..
